Haralan Popov Centre was created in honor of 50 years of ministry in dedication to Dr. Haralan Popov, a pastor who was imprisoned and tortured for more than 13 years in communist Bulgaria for his faith in Jesus Christ.
Our aim is to bring awareness of the increasing Christian persecution that is rapidly taking hold across the globe. Communism and Islamism are on the rise and sweeping into countries around the world. They are clear and present threats to Christianity.
We are committed to stand firm and steadfast in supporting the Suffering Church worldwide.
OUR VISION
To address the needs of persecuted Christians; to express our love, bring aid and support to our brothers and sisters suffering for their faith in Christ; to bring Bibles to those who do not have one or are refused the right to read the Word of God; to document abuses of Christians imprisoned for their faith;
Our driving focus is to expose the evil and hidden agenda of communism and Islamism, to stand up against religious & human rights violations, to tell the stories of those who suffer persecution and mobilize dedicated Christians to pray.
OUR GOAL
To strengthen the church in countries that restrict or forbid open worship. To strengthen pastors and church leaders by equipping them with God’s word. To bring spiritual freedom to people held captive by evil rulers and dictators. To shine the light of Jesus Christ into the darkness of mans depravity.
We do this through: our partnership with local believers, pastors and churches; our field workers on the front lines who risk their lives for Christ. We provide practical support and emergency relief.
We remain committed for long-term impact. We don’t chase the news, leaving devastated families to fend for themselves when others have left for the next news headline. We remain on the ground, helping, strengthening and encouraging the persecuted church.
