How you can help the persecuted church

Give of your time

Become a Volunteer

Many Christians living in “free world” countries know little about the suffering church—despite the fact that more than 100,000,000 Christians live in countries where Christian persecution occurs. Every year we are seeing this number grow.

Our brothers and sisters suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ need our help. As a Haralan Popov Centre volunteer you can be a vital part in the life and survival of an imprisoned Christian and their family. Whatever commitment you are able to give, whether you can give just a little of your time or be more involved, you will become an invaluable part of the Haralan Popov Centre team.

So many Christians suffer tremendous persecution, imprisonment, torture, and even death for refusing to deny Christ. They cannot speak up for themselves.

You can speak for them. You can be their VOICE!

Tell Their Stories

You could tell the story of a persecuted believer who has been silenced. Share their story with family and friends, with your church, or with your church’s missions department. Bring their needs forward in men’s and women’s fellowships or small groups.

Pray with Others

Get a prayer group together once a week or once a month to pray for specific persecuted Christians. Pray for their health and endurance through hardships, for their spiritual strength, for their release from prison, for God to provide for their families.

Use Social Media

Nothing spreads faster than social media. Become a Haralan Popov Centre Facebook follower. Encourage your friends to visit our website and share our posts with your followers.

Blog about HPC or a specific HPC project. Ask us how you can include in your post to your readers an offer of a free copy of Tortured For His Faith!

Mobilize

Advocate on behalf of a suffering believer by contacting government officials to take appropriate action. You can get the names and contact information for the people who represent you on the federal, state, and local levels here. Start a petition on behalf of a prisoner.

Spread the Word

Distribute copies of Haralan Popov Centre’s newsletters, arrange for Paul Popov to speak in your church or small group, set up an HPC information booth at Christian events in your community, show our teaser film “American Spy” (based on Tortured For His Faith) in your church or small group and give out a copy of the book to those who attend.

Be Creative

Hold fun-packed fundraising events: hold a church or group garage sale event, have a bake sale or baking competition.

Write a Letter

Write a letter to a persecuted Christian. Offer prayer and encouragement.
