Time-Critical Opportunity to Bring Relief to Iranian Christian Families
Dear Friend,
As we follow the news from Iran, our hearts go out to the Iranian people, who long for freedom but are enduring extreme hardship. War, constant attacks, and bombings have made daily life a struggle for survival.
For many, the dream of freedom is closer than it has been in decades — but these are some of the most difficult days they have faced. Millions of Iranians have bravely taken to the streets, calling for a better future, even at the cost of their lives. Tragically, over 30,000 have been killed, and countless others injured by the brutal regime and its armed mercenaries.
Amid this crisis, over 300 Christians remain imprisoned simply for following Christ. Our long-time ministry partner, Pastor Luke, recently shared with me some of their stories:
“Sahar is Iranian and returned from overseas to care for her sick mother after the death of her father. She was immediately detained by authorities. We were able to secure a lawyer to assist her with her court case.”
“Azar is battling cancer and suffered a serious back injury after falling from her bed while in prison. Her husband has had to care for their two children alone. She was recently granted temporary leave from prison to be home under an ankle monitor, but hardships continue.”
“Hakop, a citizen of Armenia, has been in prison for three years. He was arrested for his evangelistic work among Iranian Muslims and sentenced to 10 years. His wife was also imprisoned but later released on bail of over $50,000. We provide him with weekly financial support. His mother, wife, and two children are safely back home.”
“Joseph was arrested alongside his wife. For months, he endured constant interrogation in solitary confinement before being sentenced to 15 years. He has already spent two years in prison. We support him financially every week. At over 60 years old, prison is especially difficult for him. His wife, who was also imprisoned, has since been released on bail.”
Through the generosity of Chrsitians like you, we are able to provide vital financial support to these prisoners and their families — and many more. Without this help, they could not survive the severe economic hardships caused by imprisonment and persecution.
This week, there is a critical, time-sensitive opportunity to make a tangible difference.
Pastor Luke will travel to Armenia on March 16th, and through trusted connections, he will hand-deliver the funds directly to the families of imprisoned Christians. This is the only way to get aid to those in urgent need before he leaves.
I praise God that even amid the turmoil of war, ICNET’s Satellite TV ministry continues reaching millions of Iranians hungry for truth and hope. Thousands tune in daily, discovering Christ’s love in a world shaken by fear and oppression. Your partnership ensures the Gospel continues to shine into hearts across Iran, even in the darkest times.
Let us pray for this war to end soon, with a victory that brings freedom for the Iranian people and contributes to a much safer world.
We are deeply thankful to the Lord that during these past 47 difficult years in Iran, He has continued to work powerfully in the hearts of many. Despite severe persecution and pressure, countless Iranians have turned from the darkness of religious oppression to a new life in Christ — the true source of freedom for every human being.
Remember – your gift today will bring immediate relief to families suffering because of their faith and help spread hope to a nation longing for freedom. Time is short — your support can make a real difference before March 16th.
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and commitment to sharing God’s love with our brothers and sisters enduring persecution in Iran.
Together in His ministry,
Paul H. Popov, International President
